Plank Make to 99

I've been looking for ways to spend my money, and I've found that I am able to get 99 magic for 13.4m, which is just within my budget.

 

I was wondering if it is worth doing plank make? How much exp would I get per hour? Which logs lose the least for this?

 

 

 

Are there any other good ways of getting 99 mage, without spending 15m+?

Try humidify? You could buy a steam b'staff(about 250k) so you only have to worry about astral runes. You only need 1 empty vial/invy to get the xp so don't worry about buying a lot of empty vials. 1 astral rune/spell with steam b'staff.84,663 humidify spells and 3257 empty vials(in the inventory you have an empty vial and the astral runes) needed for you to get 99.About 13.3m if you use steam b'staff (considering you will make a small profit with the full vials).

Humidify is terrible

 

 

 

I never got to use the new plank make... it was like 90k an hour when I used it since you had to click thru menu options so I never used it. I used string amulet but since everybody knows about that now, I think it's much harder to get the resources for it. I'd go ahead and try out plank make or kill rock lobs if you can afford it. If you manage to get 99 via rock lobs, you'll end up getting insane defence, hp, and summoning xp along the way too.

Umm, alching those ruby rings in zanaris is a cheap way, although it takes A LOT of time. And it is possible to get 99 mage and profit from it, my friend bought some stuff from GE and alched it for profit =P~

Would String Jewellery be a good training method? Does anyone know how much it would cost getting 94-99? And what should I use the spell on?

Not to mention combat xp is easier to obtain than Magic, 2-3x.

It will cost me less than 3m coins and 75 hours to get 99 by Plankmake.

 

 

 

It will cost me 40m and 80 hours by String Jewelry.

 

 

 

Well...they speak for themselves really. And Ice Burst is like 57m if I'm right, but I'm probably not. It's most likely higher.

Damnit. I must've hit the wrong key on my calculator before, but bad news for me and bad news for you. I redid the calculation, and it's 24m.

 

 

 

1 mahogany log costs 184 on the GE. 1 mahogany plank costs 1577 on the GE. The spell itself costs 1050 in raw cash and 2 astrals, 15 earths, and 1 nature.

 

 

 

You would use an earth staff, so the earths don't cost you anything. The astrals would cost about 300 gp combined and 550 once you add the nat. So 184+1050+550-1577=207. Since (for me) it's 116215 casts to 99 magic, that's 24m.

 

 

 

I think we both knew it was too good to be true :wall:

 

 

 

If this is the case, then you just have to ask yourself. Is all the extra clicking worth the extra 5k or so xp per hour and 16m in savings? Keep in mind that both get you the same goal, except String Amulet gives you 600k crafting xp as well.
