Bassy
Well, I finally got 70 Ranged, so I'm ready to start camping at Waterfiends. I've done a few trial trips, and I have a few questions for our helpful experts. \ 1. Is there any good substitute to Karil's Leathertop? I just can't bring myself to pay 1.2mil or whatever for it when the bottom was only 160k... 2. Are my levels good enough to maintain a good charm rate? I have 84 Attack, 81 Strength, and 99 Defence. If I'm not good enough, is there any other Crimson dropper you could recommend? My current setup is: Helm: Dwarven helmet Necklace: Amulet of Fury Chest: Black D'hide body Legs: Karil's Skirt Gloves: Barrows Boots: Dragon Boots Ring: Seers Ring Cape: Defence (t) I'm wielding a Saradomin Sword, and I have Guthans in my inventory to heal on the Skeletons. 3. Any advice on things I may be forgetting? Thanks : Click Here for a Common Sense Dungeoneering Guide
Aeon_
Switch SS to Zamorak spear. Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
Aslan
Well if you have money that lie around in the bank buy the top, get the charms you want then sell it back.

Zaaps1
Use a ring of wealth, it gives you a better chances at higher charm drops. Pretty sure this is incorrect, as charms are not counted as either common nor rare. RoW improves the chances of getting an item categorized under "rare", and charms are not. It will, however, improve the seed, herb, etc. drops you get. But since you're there for charms and not profit, you're better off wielding a Warrior or Zerker. ~It's Super Effective! JoeDaStudd
1. Not really 2. Should be fine, with 99 def it might be worth trying melee void there. Don't bother with guthans just stick with bunyips, pineapple pizza's (or strawberries given your defence) and the rest for pots, drops and charms. z0diark
Helm: Void melee Necklace: fury top: void legs: void gloves: void boots: dragon ring: berserker fire cape>def cape if you have it Don't bother with guthan you probably won't need it. Take a bunyip and alot of swallow whole scrolls. If you have enhanced excalibur then this is a great place to spec with it, I suggest getting it :) Void is a really good setup here if you're not slaying and with bunyip + excallibur ul last a fair while :) If you really don't wanna get void then black dhide top will be ok. Yet testing give other results: With row I gain about 5%-10%* more charms. - Given according to the formula I found, at waterfiends the increase isn't that much.... *the rate does change a bit according to some formula, in one of my other post I displayed it First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. This suggests the row may affect the charm drop rate but not necessarily in the way that you would want it to. In general since we don't know for sure I'd say a berserker ring is best since you get faster kills and faster charms.

Charms are bonus items like gorgoroth stated. They are not affect by RoW anymore then challenge scrolls are, ie not at all.
