I simply don't think it's possible. The enemy AI can micro-manage every unit, starts with additional resources, and gets resources boost with every age upgrade. They reach imperial age by like minute 13, dammit.

 

i get to the imperial age around 11 mins.

i allways age up faster then the ai, although i play on medium (for anyone who doesent knowe, that IS abouve normal).

I don't think it's even possible to get imperial by 11 minutes. Castle age, on a turbo match, yes. But not imperial, unless you're playing with high starting resources.
