Lol, I actually know all the guys in that band. I went to their first live show.

 

I always gave them a hard time for being metalcore [kitties].

i sometimes look through instructables cause they has cool things there.

 

one of which is a guy making a gas mask. i read the entire article... and he mentioned that he accidentally inhaled some wood chips which can't be good for him... and then later, he jammed something and accidentally inhaled ground up coal which was used for the gas mask filtration.

 

what annoyed me was that he assumed that since coal was good for you, and we are all made up of carbon, that it must be good if you inhale it... and he insinuatedthat the only reason he bothered to fixhis gas mask was because it was... nasty.. and unpleasant to get ground up charcoal in his lungs.

 

i want to say this. you can live on only one lung... but it won't be pleasant.

 

the entire lung is made up of tiny tiny chambers where gases can be exchanged. and... it's like a sponge. i've seean a real himan lung cut open and dissected.. and it's very amazing. and just like a spong that gets discoloured... the lung will collect and gradually take in solids from the air and it'll be unableto remove the solids!!!

 

as a responsible human being.. you should google "smoker's lungs" and actually see what it looks like. it's black and hard and looks disgusting.. and its hard to inflate.

 

a pure lung is very soft and easily inflates and deflates when air is pumped into it.

 

a normal person will have some sediment in his/her lungs. simply for living in the city with smog.

 

therefore if anyone you know is into smoking, tell them to gtfo and don't be friends with them.
