On a similar note, my school will be getting Ipads for every teacher next year, and 1 in 3 students.

Yeah our new superintendent is massively optimistic and advocates increased use of technology, he's pretty kickass, but this might be a little impractical.

Everybody gets a craptop at my school, but they're real nazis about what we use it for.

They might be for in-school use only, I dunno. Also might only be for those who can't afford something like that. But then there'd be thefts.

If they did it like class sets that'd work I guess, but then teachers would be "fighting" over who got them. Also idk about parental controls on iPads but if u cant get any i dont see how the district won't get in trouble.

1 Junior English class at my school got iPads for each person in their class. It was random whether you got in, but as it's a regular class, you can't be in honors.

 

Then each department got 30 iPads. So yeah.
