So the AP physics test. About that... NOT COOL. After I finished the multiple choice I felt pretty good, i know that test is one of the most curved ones (40% is a 3), and I feel like I did a lot better than that on the MC. Had like half an hour extra time, took a nap. As did most of my class. Then we get to break, the obnoxious test lady is like "blah blah test should be done around 3:20 blah blah I'm wasting your time blah blah" (school finishes at 3:03). Took break. Get the free response thing. Start doing first problem, knew every part, beastly. Turn to second problem. WHAT IS THIS. Yeah, two of the six free response questions were good, the rest were either complete random crap ("design an experiment to measure something", options for materials lists meterstick, laser pointer, ruler, stopwatch... I definitely made that too simple) or things my teacher said not to worry about because "they never show up on the test, especially not as free response questions".

Yeah so... I'm gonna have to make adjustments to my schedule for next year.

Because I'm having second thoughts about AP US History. And I am for sure that I do not want to take AP English.

I had US history in tenth grade, just honors, and they didn't promote the AP test for sophomores. The following year they had like 50 kids take it. I was not pleased. Tomorrow I have AP government, which I took last semester and haven't studied for yet, and Wednesday I have AP Lang, which is based on skills developed over the past two years and will be a breeze. Except the essays, they're kind of annoying.

At this rate, it's looking like the only AP class is going to be Environmental sciences and Chemistry. Also, do you HAVE to take AP tests even though you're not in a AP class?

Speaking of schedules, found out last week that we aren't getting ours until 2 weeks until school starts. Every year, my schedule has gotten steadily worse, to the point of this year I had to basically rewrite it from scratch. So it looks like my schedule is going to be a piece of crap, I'm going to have to work with my TA teacher to fix it - and she's basically useless - and I'm not going to have any time to do so.

 

It doesn't help that I wrote holes into my schedule so I had room to fix things. :/
