So I qualified marksman with the M16 today. I was hoping for Expert but its actually so precise its difficult for me. Also I have some habits from shooting other rifles I need to fix.

My habit isn't bad for regular rifles. You keep your face back so the scope doesn't crack you in the face, but with the M16 you want your eye right up on the sight pretty much. Also I had a habit of slapping the trigger rather than following through, but I think I've gotten that sorted out.

I probably could have passed it at Boot Camp, but it would have been near minimums, and I don't want to "just" make it.
