Why is manslaughter a crime? If it's a true and complete accident with no other crime committed, I don't see why someone should be punished for it.

You have the wrong concept of manslaughter. Manslaughter isn't just killing someone by accident, it's killing someone due to negligence on your part.

I don't see the purpose of writing an article describing why the U.S. isn't a democracy. It's obviously a republic, heck, it's in the Pledge of Allegiance (to the republic for which it stands). There aren't really any points to prove.

I know it's a republic, but I still hear plenty of people talking about the US and calling it a democracy. Adults and kids.
