recently.. a few years back.. my mother got this really bad tropical skin rash/fungus.

 

the docs over in canada dont know what it is.. but in guyana it happens so often.. that everyone uses a certain acid and burn it off teh skin even though it causes a lot of pain.

 

unfortunately.. the doc didnt prescribe the ointment.. so they had to get it from guyana.

 

however.. before they got it.. my mother scratched off most of her skin.

 

eventually.. i yelled at her and said no more scratching.

however i surely didnt get my pain tolerance, or patience from her.

 

needless to say.. i hardly ever scratch anymore if im itchy.
