He has money saved up, and he doesn't touch it because it's for college - last I heard, he had $3000 saved before his grad party, where he earned $1450 in one night. She got $525 from her grad party, 50 of which was from my mom, 80 more from other neighbors. She did make an interesting comment the other day - she was saying something about her family not helping her take care of her great-grandma (that takes some of her money too, driving her around), and she noted "I can't just be like [him] and cuddle up to mommy to get what I need. I have to do it myself." She recognizes the difference in how independent she is compared to him. it doesn't matter where the money comes from... however, i think your friend has to make some lifestyle changes.. aka not spending as much.. and she has to learn to say no. to both you and the vampire boyfriend.
