6 bucks? 12 bucks? What the hell? It's like 14 here. >.<

[bleep]ing hell it's 16$ here. Quit your complaining.

Ouch.

The cheapest one is 12 screens, the other two have 14 screens each. The next closest charges 8.25 + 3 for 3d, the one across town is 9.50 + 3 for 3d.

Well, our movies got remodeled within the past 2 years, so the price increased. Before it was 8.25 for a movie on a weekend. Like 5 for a matinee.

Goddammit Monk, stop being so full of win.

Man, if I had my own car, I would be taking my friends to movies almost all the time. I love movies.

Movies are about the only thing to do in Kearney. Movies, bowling, and hanging out in stores.

I didn't know prices here jumped from 8 to 9.50 when I went to see the last HP movie. I only paid 9.50 for that one and No Strings Attached, then the day after I saw the lattrer the theater I went to closed and the smaller theater dropped prices down to 4 matinee and 6 evening. It's wonderful, reminds me of all the matinees I used to catch on Sunday afternoons before my friends (one I talk about all the time here, other old neighbor who visits periodically) went home for the schoolweek.

@Tyler: What about Corning, or whatever it was called. Where you throw corn kernels at houses.

Or cow tipping?

I can honestly say I have never heard of that before. Ever.

And cow tipping is kinda meh. You get in a lot more trouble than it's worth. Especially if you do it more than once.

You were the one that told us about it...

I was?

The closest thing I can think of to that is Corn Bulling, which is a detasseling thing (You jump another person in the cornfield and try to use them to knock over as many corn stalks as you can.) But seeing as a group of kids got fired for that last year, and today another group of kids almost got fired for it, I wouldn't say that's feasable.

So, I went tick-tacking (aka Corning) with my brother and some of his friends this weekend. Was a pretty fun time. Also, since we did a lot of walking around town my legs hurt bad. We easily did over 10 miles. maybe 15.

Explain this action to me.

Throwing corn kernels at cars and stuff.

OOOHHHH.

I didn't know that because that happens in Nebraska without the help of people. That's what I'm going with anyway.

Also, it sounds lame as hell.

You and several friends get a large bag. Fill it with dry corn kernels or other items of such size (beans and the like) you go to a house, each grab a handful, throw it at the house, and run. No damage, but depending upon the houses' building materials it can make a bit of a good noise. Often times it is amusing to hit grumpy old people who will chase you. Also your friends.

For instance, one such grumpy old man got in a car and chased after us, luckily, we were fleet of foot and had several yard to cut through he could not.

Throwing corn kernels at cars is [developmentally delayed]ed as they could crash and be seriously injured.

Yup, sounds lame.
