training means the fight or flight response is suppressed. Fight response is bad because its all instinct and little logic. Flight is bad for obvious reasons. So with enough training you don't do any of these responses and instead revert to your training

Halo said it best.

The once was a mexican called pepsi,

Or maybe it's just he had Hep C,

He was a pretty cool bro,

Bros generally are you know,

He hailed from the land of 'taters,

He was known to hate many-a-hater,

He likes a girl named Lacey,

His thoughts about her are kind of racy,

And also his dad likes to [rooster].

Oh look Tyler, your cute Adventure Time gif made it to the front page of reddit.

It seems like the whole point is processing quickly, without thinking. Just knowing what to do because that's the way it is, not looking and evaluating the situation to come to the same conclusion. If I'm understanding correctly.

agreed.

sometimes you CAN overthink things. and sometimes you're stupid not to think.

I believe the navy will train ownage in the RIGHT way to react to situations.. especially life and death situations. <_<

I feel like (this coming from my Taekwondo training) military or other types of protective training teach you how to react to a situation without thinking about it. I.e., when I'm freesparring, I don't think, "Alright, what will be my next attack? Oh, I think I'll give a kick to the head, because he's open there right now." Instead, my thoughts are entirely focused on getting my opponent to do what I want, while I'm simply reacting to whatever opportunities I have, without thinking about it. I.e., "Alright, I'm going to hit him with a few body kicks so that he leaves his head free, and if he gives me the opportunity before I expect it, I'll just take it."

Putting that into the barfight situation from the last page, I feel like what the military person would do is think, "I need to subdue these two, but not hurt or kill them. If my partner's down then this is what I should do." (I don't have a specific idea for what you should do.) When the military person see's the gun, instead of thinking, "Hey, am I going to pick up this gun, or will that be too much force?", he'll either pick up the gun or not, without thinking of it, and change his strategy as fits his choice. Probably reaction will tell him to take down whoever is trying for the gun before they can get to it.

Just my 2 cents, I guess.

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

Nah, I only say that about the people I like, because they're the only ones I notice when they do it.

So, like you, 321, and Goon.
