Ghost Mouse

Can the app Ghost Mouse be used in RS to drop full invents of stuff, fish etc ?

Can as in "able to install and run it"? If so, then probably.

But if you mean "able to use it and not break the rules", then no

Anything on your computer, as in installed with the OS is legal to use.

Anything you have to download, as in third party software is against the rules.

So if you have to download it, then it's bad, if it came with your computer like mousekeys for an example, it's fine. ::'

You will get banned in a matter of hours if not less. GhostMouse will do the same exact moves every time which is easily detected by Jagex. Everybody would be botting to 99 fletch by making bolts/arrows if GhostMouse was allowed.

So you're saying that using Firefox is an offence?

Worst post ever.

Firefox, Opera and Chrome are all 3rd party and completely legal.

SK is currently under debate, but is considered by 50% of Jagex employees as legal.

A better way to phrase it would be, if you think it might be illegal then it probably is.

The rule relates to runescape and therefore means 3rd party software tht relates to the game.

In terms of runescape 1st party is obviously jagex and well runescape

2nd party (tht no-one every really mentions) is web browser that can load java eg swiftkit and the rs client use IE based commands to load the actual rs window and the os that allows the browser to work and java itself.

3rd party is something that also effects the game, but it is only 3rd party if it has no relation to the first or second party:

Eg swiftkit and the rs client are similar concept however rs client is not 3rd party as the 1st party (jagex) supplied it while swiftkit is 2rd party as it has no link to jagex or the makers of the web browser or operating system

Same applies with mousekeys and ghost mouse

Mouse keys is part of windows. Windows is the os whihc is part of the 2nd party therefore mousekey is not 3rd party

Ghost Mouse is not linked to jagex, the os, the browser or java and therefore is 3rd party

the term 2nd party does not exist...

3th party basicly means anyone outside of jagex.

As for OS, browser and java.. These are all thirth party applications but are needed to run the game.

Saying all thirth party applications are considered to be an offence basicly just means dont download anything that can "aid" you in the game.. but with marketing speak

2nd party does exist, just isn't commonly referred too. It's a fairly recent termonology developed for just this kinda of case whereby instead of all things being 3rd party they can be 2nd party which implies they hold some interaction with the first party but unlike 3rd party are actually needed for the 1st party to function/succeed
