another armour question

Well I've got a next nice sum of money which I don't know what to spent it on (It's ~16M):

 

 

 

I'm doing a lot of slayer, but also a daily random boss trip (with a group of 5 friends we just roll a dice to look for which boss).

 

 

 

Now there are 2 item "sets" I like to get:

 

 

 

either dfs + guthans body

 

or BLESSED spirit shield + bandos body

 

 

 

 

 

Which of those 2 would you rate best for mostly slayer/some boss hunting?

I would say guthans+DFS. It helps on healing and the dfs has decent defense when not using teh spear to heal.

I will not be using the spear lol.. If I wanted the set effect: I do keep guthans in bank (So even with the second "option", I'll have guthans as a backup).

So you're just going to use the chest and legs of guthans? if so you should just use torags/dharoks. Both are cheaper and have better def stats. Well i know the legs do.

Bandos top is only marginally better than guthan for slayer and I would definitely not say that it's one of the first things you should buy. DFS has a lot of practical uses and is better than the blessed spirit shield unless you're planning to do alot of ranging/maging with it or require the prayer boost it gives. I advise the DFS + guthan top because I think the defensive bonuses outweigh the loss of offensive bonuses.

DFS is the best weapon for killing dragons, other then that it's not too great. People use it for Armadyl/Sara godwars but I prefer a BSS for the better range and prayer bonus, plus I use it to tank aviansies with void. Rune defender is better then a DFS for meleeing anything that's not a dragon. Bandos plate + Verac's skirt is good for slaying if you don't use offencive prayers else use Verac's brassard or Prosolyte if you don't need the defence. So I'd go with the Bandos plate and BSS.

i would say guthans and dfs cause not only will that help you at gwd but dfs is great def and guthans you can buy whole set which is really great for Slayer :)

Problem is, untill now I've only killed dragons by ranging them... (I range every task that's even slightly possible to range).

Stats would help. If you have 68+ summoning I would get blessed spirit shield as its better for the money.

 

Not sure on bandos at all though I'd much rather just get torags or veracs and save the gp for a bigger investment.

Of course I have 68 summoning (and only 250 more crimsons to collect before I can boost it to 79)

The set is only good as a set the armour itself is worse then torags/dhoraks.

 

 

 

With 80+ melee stats myself a mixture of veracs skirt and torags body with a bunyip is more then enough for most tasks.

 

 

 

In the GWD guthans is only good for bandos and if your attacking void is a much better choice as it helps speed up the kills.

 

Guthans how ever is good for DK's so it depends on how many sides your dice has.

I would sell it if i were you. You probably paid more for it when u first got then you can buy it now. So sell it to cut your losses. The bunyip will heal you just fine. Unless you plan on tanking Bandos, then i would keep it just for that.
