June 14, 200917 yr I have had this question stuck in my mind, and just noticed the Mechscape boards, so thought I would ask. Is Mechscape going to tell what future Gielnor is like, or are we in for a completely new world/worlds? I am sure knowing Jagex that there will be quite a few Runescape references, but I am just wondering if this tells the future story of the land we roam on in Runescape. Anybody have any thoughts?

June 18, 200917 yr Not to offend any of you...but I think Jagex is going to try and get mechscape away from runescape. They are trying to make a game for older kids. Most people I know think runescape is for 10 year olds. IF they see if mechscape and runescape are related or associated in any way, they would never make an account. June 20, 200917 yr It's not going to be associated with Runescape in any shape or form, or that is how Jagex comes off in trying to keep RS and MS away from each other as much as possible. Judging by the interviews and leaked info they've been giving out. I'm thinking different universes entirely.
June 24, 200917 yr If Mechscape was RuneScape in the future, then it would be a major storyline crasher, wouldn't it? So I'd say it's a completely different place, within a different time period, kind of like the setting of Star Wars.
July 17, 200916 yr Jagex have said that Mechscape won't be RuneScape in space so I really doubt it's going to be Gielnor in the future. This. Jagex has said this numerous times. They say they are trying to do something completely different in terms of MMOs.
