My touchpad has broken - SOLVED

OK, basically the touchpad on my laptop is no longer responding when I try to move the cursor or click anything, I have to use my mouse. I was wondering if there was any chance that this could be due to a problem with software which I could fix myself rather than having to send it back to the manufacturer to be repaired.

My laptop is a fugitsu siemens amilo, it runs vista, has 2mb RAM and an intel centrino duo processor. It's about a year and 2 months old. Can anyone help me? If you have any questions, please ask and I'll answer them as quickly as possible.

You may also have disabled it by accident. This happened to my dad.
Yup, if it happened suddenly that'll most likely be the culprit. A driver issue will usually arise after some sort of software alteration.

2515?

If so I'll check mine when I get home and see if theres a hotkey for it.

Try holding fn and the F5 to 10 buttons and see if it re-enables.
