funion987
Can anyone explain to me why the word puedo, translation, "I can," is censored on Runescape?
Inuashakent
Jagex's filtirs are based around English with a few exceptions, I think... [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
SirHartlar
It is probably because it is close to the word "paedo".

Makoto_the_Phoenix
In English: Puedo is too similar to "Pedo" or "Paedo". Those phrases are blocked, so it would be blocked too. In Spanish: It doesn't matter what it means in Spanish. The filter is designed around English words. If it *looks* bad in English, then it gets starred. Example: The opening verse to one of my favorite Anime songs (Through the Night) is filtered. "Semenaide" (pronounced seh-meh-NAI-day), which means "Don't destroy it", comes out as... a totally different word, which looks and sounds nothing like its intended definition, hence it gets starred out to all Hell. Deal with it, bud. Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago. Sir_Kurity
Why is pedo blocked? I mean, don't get me wrong, pedos are bad  . But, when the world murderer isn't blocked, and pedo is, (murdering is worse than being a pedo right?) it just confuses me. O.O
