Hello all, I got a question.

 

I train smithing with smelting gold bars but sometimes I get addy and mith ores, so I thought I would use those to make rang ammo.

 

Which ammo is the best to make? I won't enchant anything so it would be pure ammo.

 

I am thinking that darts are the best choise? since they are very fast.

Make bolts. There's a good market for both addy (ench. diamond tipped as well) as mithril.

 

 

 

If you intend to use them yourself, make some enchented mith and addy as well, as they come in handy for training and monster hunting.

Mith bolts unf usually sell instant.

I would want to use them myself so no selling. and if you read my first post I won't be enchanting them.

Broads are better/cheaper than mith.They do require 55(?) slayer though.Sell the mith unf(inished) and buy broad?

I have 70+ slayer, but that doesn't suit me, even if they are better (yes I know I am stubborn)

 

I am just asking which ones are the best to make without enchants and I don't want to sell them.

 

Also it isn't only mith, addy too.

If the question is then whether you should make bolts, arrows, knifes, or darts, I think it's pretty clear that bolts are definetly the way to go (Unless you're going to be training at yaks, then knifes or darts wouldn't be a bad option ;) ).

are the bolts also better at low lvl monsters? because it is quicker to kill low lvl monsters with darts i presume? (like fire giants and bloodvelds)

Broad=accuracy of mith/power of addy.I'd say stick with mith bolts, if you still want to use them.

It would be helpful if I knew your range so I get a sense of how often you'd hit :P . Darts and knifes are better at mosters with lower defense, and bolts at ones with higher def. I personally prefer bolts at anything over lvl 40, but if you want to try out any of the other 2 options you may find them useful.

one more question, do the bolts last the same time as darts (how long I can pick them from the ground) and can I make the same amount of bolts as I do with darts from bars? (never made bolts, been away for 1,5 years and bolts where still a bit new then)

Im pretty sure you have to use slayer points to buy the ability to make broad bolts.

I meant that he could sell the mith unf and buy broad.

But if I am right the ammount of monsters I can kill with the darts and the bolts are about the same (since there are more darts but I need less bolts) but the bolts are quicker, unless it is for low lvl monsters? and with low lvl monsters I have to think about less then 40?

bolts r the best way to go since they r commonly bought at ge...i made all bolts from 55 to 62...and got most of my money bak like 90% of it

as I have said multiple times I am not going to sell them.

Just stick with bolts.

nah I am looking for something usefull to use while ranging slayer monsters and cave slimes (for the tars) ;)

yeah but they are slower and you make less of them. so that is what I was wondering... which ones can I kill the most monsters with,
