I have not played RSC since RS2 came out, though not through lack of desire. I have tried to play on several occasions but it is not much fun without armour and when I have tried to earn money I have always been thwarted by the abundance of autoers.

 

 

 

I have tried again this week but now it seems that although there are less autoers, there are hardly any genuine players! Therefore if I gather some resources, there is no-one to trade with in order to get that precious Rune!

 

 

 

So my question is; is it possible to get started again on RSC if you have no items? I have reasonable skills for someone who has not played in 5 years (1300ish total) but if the game is as dead as it looks, am I just wasting my time? Or if not, what is the best way of earning my armour back?

There are 39 people on server one and 22 people on server two. It's not worth going back to it, mate. However, jagex are re-releasing rs1 to the public, so if they keep their word it should be populated with newbs from rs2 and oldies alike. :)

Thanks for the reply mate. I guess the game is even more dead then I thought. I hope they do release it to the public again, at least that will bring some life into the game, even though it won't be the same.

 

 

 

However this is Jagex we are talking about so I won't hold my breath. In the meantime, if anyone can tell me a good way of making some cash so I can buy a set of rune, please let me know.

I know this is off topic, but how did you get on RSC if you haven't playing in over 1400 days? I thought your account was locked after 6 months...

There was a certain cut-off point where if you did not log on within 6 months, you would not be able to get onto rs1. As long as you did, you can leave you character idle for as long as you wish and it'll still be there to log on.

Sadly, if you have an RSC account but it has been inactive for quite sometime; you then are unable to login to the RSC game. Overall, RSC isn't open anymore to the public, but I wish it was. :( It would of been a great game to play.

There's only like 70 players, so not worth it really. And it won't surprise me if this "re opened as cheat server" idea doesn't ever happen

Most people live on private servers now which is easier to level like the experience can be about 3x, 5x, or up to 30x. I personally don't see myself ever coming back to rsc because of the fact so many people play private servers they will not play rsc again because the servers are ran by player mods, which makes it even out because there are less autoers.
