toast647
Train with broad bolts on high defense monsters, or bronze knives on low defense ones. Use rapid, always. Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

toast647
Dragons, hellhounds, gargoyles, anything over 100 combat pretty much. You can use broad bolts on anything. Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
mmmcannibalism
Also i thought broiad tipped bolts were for slayer monsters They are the only bolts that can hurt turoth and kurask, but they are great bolts in general. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
kdb148
Sometimes accurate is preferable - mainly if you find yourself missing a lot. Accurate gives you an invisible +3 ranged levels, which can increase your accuracy against monsters with high ranged defense. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! baileydafrog
unless it's a boss don't bother with accurate, even then only if your struggling to hit when potted

I've found that accurate can help with certain monsters that I'm having trouble hitting. Like waterfiends. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! Accurate gives you an invisible +3 ranged levels, which can increase your accuracy against monsters with high ranged defense. What it IS good for is for one off things like a Zanik xbow or Dark bow spec just to heighten your chances of a hit and a little extra damage. After that just immediately go back to rapid. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

It's not just a power boost. You will also hit more often. I have observed good results on accurate actually using both methods on the same monster. Less speed is offset by hitting more often AND possibly hitting harder. I've observed this at both waterfiends and skeletal wyverns, and I hit significantly more often on accurate than rapid - enough so that accurate was getting faster kills. That's what I meant by power boost lol. On accurate, you actually ONLY gain accuracy, not power. (seriously) The max hit is the same. kdb148
Not always. Depending on your ranged level and ammunition, you can end up with accurate hitting 1 higher than rapid. You don't have to take my word for it, any ranged max hit calculator would tell you that, including tip.it's. The higher your ammunition's ranged strength, the more likely it becomes that the invisible level boost will increase your max hit. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! Inuashakent
My memory failed me -.- Either way, the small boost (max hit by 1 if you're lucky?) in power and accuracy is not worth the speed loss. baileydafrog
accurate does hit 1 harder in the right circumstances yeah, but i've ranged many things and the only time i've had a real advantage with accurate is mith drags and kbd, otherwise alot faster on rapid
