July 15, 200917 yr I personally use Camtasia Recorder. I record at 30 fps to get high quality. http://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasiatrial.asp Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
July 15, 200917 yr You don't want the best recording tool, you want the best compression tool. I suggest DivX/XviD or whatever. You see, the way recorders record are fairly the same. I've used almost all recorders and the only recorder different from the others is Fraps. The only reason people get horrible video after they uploaded it is because after they recorded, they compressed with the default program or the program that came with the recorder. All videos come out the same if you have the same settings, but video comes out different when you cut it down into a box.

July 15, 200917 yr Hypercam with the key is a great, fast running "bare minimum tool" but for higher quality recording, especially in HD, I would recommend Camtasia.
