July 15, 200917 yr Start, control panel, windows firewall, or if it's disabled press ctrl+alt+del, drag the window down so you can see all the processes without scrolling, take a screenshot and I'll take a look. By the way for tech support in general people use teamviewer. It's very convenient.
July 16, 200917 yr If the rest of your family can login from the same computer and connection, then it's a problem with your account, which means it's something that Microsoft has done to it. Thus unless this is a common bug that happens to people (which I don't think it is), you should just contact the support system they have up on msn.com or windowslive.com or whatever website they're trying to use as a mainstream site now.

July 22, 200917 yr Click on the show details thing, whats the error code? Google it and you could probably find whats wrong. Something similar to what you described happened to me a few days ago, the error code was "8e5e0158". Source:http://windowslivehelp.com/community/t/28846.aspx This problem was caused by an abnormal termination of Windows Live or its products, this making your Live Contacts damaged. To slove this, you have to remove the Live Contacts cache folder, and let it download from the server again. Follow these steps to find out your Windows Live Contacts folder... First of all, exit Live Messenger, make sure it's not working in background. For Windows XP, 1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options. 2. Click the View tab. 3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders. 4. Confirm changes and exit Folder Options. 5. Change your path to C:\Documents and Settings\[Windows Logon Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts 6. Backup the whole folder (or zip it). 7. Delete the folder refer to your Live Messenger email. For Windows Vista, 1. On the Organize menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder and Search Options. 2. Click the View tab. 3. In the Advanced Settings list, select Show hidden files and folders, make sure that Hide extensions for known file types is not selected, and then click OK. 4. Change your path to C:\Users\[Windows Logon Name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts 5. Backup the whole folder (or zip it). 6. Delete the folder refer to your Live Messenger email. Give that a try.

July 23, 200917 yr does it show in your control panel? or you can go view-toolbars-customize..-and add folder options
July 23, 200917 yr http://www.technize.com/2007/05/05/fold ... indows-xp/ After a virus attack in one of my client machines, the folder options from the windows explorer was missing and we were unable to show all the files including the hidden ones. So heres what I did to restore it back: Go to Run >gpedit.msc User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer Enable and then Disable Removes Folder Options menu from Tools menu Close all windows explorer windows and then open again.. most probably your folder options is back :-) If you don't find it trustworthy, just check the comments on the url above and then you can judge whether or not you want to mess around with your registry files. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
