Which combat 99?

Featured Replies

I have 73 attack and defence, 71 strength and 74 hp. I train in guthans and have the usual set up lik fury, berserker, dragon boots etc... I have a bgs, d scim and whip. Im gonna put in alot of effert and raise all my combats stats to 80-85 plus. But which 1 should i max to 99 first? Strength seems the obvious although 99 def seems very benefical. Any1 got any suggestions of were to train those desired skills.

Thanks

attack or strength, defense doesn't make too much of a different to monsters after about 85/90.

I wouldn't set a 99 as a goal as its way to high and you'll burn out long before you get it.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

Train controlled with whip

97 97 97 is better than 90 99 90 or w/e you end up getting.

I would say HP, but of the others, get them at once by killing a chicken.

But that is why I say HP first, because balanced stats tend to work out better.

If you really want a faster 99 that will be the most help, defense is a huge help. It is certainly worth raising. After that, attack is next. More accurate attacks trump higher max hit. Strength would be last in my line, since the higher hits are ok, but they are not as good as better accuracy or less damage in most situations.

Strength is quite overrated, and because of that, its also a terribly common 99, as well, making attack or defense a bit better in most cases AND a bit more impressive to see.

If you do PVP then strenght isn't a bad option but attack is more useful when it comes to PvM

Strength IS completely overrated.

It is a good idea to have your strength level close to your attack, but I would say attack (or defence, which would be painful to train) for the 99 for sure.

In f2p pvp, attack is the most important (weapons are too weak in f2p.. you'll be hitting 0 all the time). In p2p, that actually follows through as well, although strength becomes more important as well... I had a friend who would make literally hundreds of millions off of dueling people with high strength, and mediocre attack (i.e. strength usually 10-15 lvls higher than attack). His character was the opposite, high attack, low strength, and equal defence (to strength).

The most useful: attack (you hit more accurately more often)

The one that makes you feel special: strength (big numbers are nice)

The easiest to get (imo): defense (every weapon has a defensive style, so you can just constantly work at it.)

Although oddly, defense capes are the rarer ones that i see.

HP: honestly, just train the other stats (THROUGH SLAYER <3: ) and it will go up in time.

Mage is nice, but until you get to the 90's with melee stats, its not really necessary.

Range- like magic, just training it when slayer tasks come up that are easier ranged than meleed.
