Faruq's Tools For Games --> Will you use it?

Featured Replies

Knowing that many of RuneScape's adventurers sometimes like to kick back and enjoy time with their friends and clan-mates, Al Kharid's newest resident, the mysterious entrepreneur Faruq, has brought to market a selection of curiosities to help pass the time between grand escapades.

If your clan needs fair ways of making decisions, then Faruq has something for you. If you want to have a race without any cheating or need something to mark the route, he can help. Whether youre planning a scavenger hunt, a race, a seeking game or any kind of adventure within the adventure, Faruq asks only that you look at his wares, because he might have just what you need.

To peruse Faruqs Tools for Games, check out the stall he has set up next to Ali Morrisane in Al Kharid market.

This is an unusual update for us, because, unlike just about everything else in RuneScape, we havent planned out what you should do with it. During development, we thought of things you could do, of course, but Im eager to see what else you can come up with yourselves.

To make the tools, we sought suggestions from the forums, fan sites and various corners of Jagex. It all helped shape the project, and some of the players who made suggestions when the developer blog went out should find certain objects very familiar: congratulations on making your mark on the game!

I'm sure some of the larger clans won't bother with it as much, but I'm sure the smaller-medium clans would like to try these out for some of their events? I personally wouldn't mind trying it out with my own.

Opinions?

its for misc/fun events like item seeking hide and seek etc, or like if you have to make a decision and vote for someone or throw a dice for a random decision, idk.

We probably will knowing our event leaders.

With love to one, friendship to many, and good will to all.

I'd do it, makes events slightly more organized, besides, I love asking the skull questions :P .

"Is my clan gonna be #1 someday?"

"No."

"Again, is my clan gonna be #1 someday?"

"Probably not."

The skull never lies ;)

I'm sure we will use it at some point, like you said however it will probably be more popular with smaller clans.

The bigger deal for me is that Jagex is actually making an effort to integrate clans into the game.

then they could give us things we actually need instead of this bs their giving us this junk

their taking away the clan worlds cake and giving them pudding instead.

if they made updates that BENEFIT the clan world, like perhaps a type of PvP world where its wars only, this could stop crashers because they could make it so the clan leaders have to accept and such, and only people in the clan chats of the war can enter. of course, they could just make it a minigame, where you still get drops and such, and its wars only, but i still think that wouldnt be quite as fun as the wilderness.

now i realise thats a big thing to do, but there are smaller things:

  • making no limit to amount of ppl that can enter in clan chat

  • making the clan chat ranks seperate from friends list

  • if they dont do #2 they could then increase friends list space to 200 f2p 400 p2p or more

  • they could make more bh/pvp worlds

failed list coding but i really dont care

List=0 :P

I agree completely that it is more of a filler update than anything, I just like the fact that they are doing something, rather than nothing.

Why not put time into something that REALLY benefits clans instead of a, well, kiddy update? I can't see top 10 clans wanting to go out and play hide and seek. Or well, not very many official clans to say the least.

This is a better update for the smaller community clans, or skilling clans.

In response to the question, I'm sure we'll use it for a couple of days or something, nothing long term though.

Lol, my first event in Gladz, excluding wars, was hide and seek.

The timer and ticker are somewhat useful, I think.
