Well....in all honesty planet busting is possible. I have done it in Adrigas. However the explosive force used is substantial for a non-tiny planet.

Uninhabitability....Well yes, it could be done. Say by heating the planet up, freezing it or bombarding it with radiation from engine manifolds(or something like that).

The only things against the rules are super weapons, ie weapons that have NO defense against...say like falling rods of uranium that go so fast they are un-intercept-able.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Would you think that with the current level of technology, you could entirely destroy my homeworld, which has a dense atmosphere and extremely deep water?

The most I'd imagine you could do is destabilize the surface of the water.

I think ramming a super carrier going at sub luminal speeds into your planet would destroy it fairly easily.

That seems like a super weapon to me. :)

How would you defend against it?

Destroying a planet is not particularly hard. You could just fire a pretty massive laser into one of the trenches on your planet, the trenches lead directly to the core so....

The Core is a ball of iron the size of Mars spinning at 1000 miles per hour.

It takes a lot of energy to stop a ball that size and that mass spinning that quickly. In fact, the spinning core (if I have done my math correctly) has about 1035 ergs of energy stored up in its rotation, or about the amount of energy the Sun emits in 100 seconds. That's a whole lot of energy. If it doesn't sound like much, let's convert it to megatons: it's the equivalent energy of five trillion one megaton bombs going off.

If the core were to stop rotating, all that energy would have to go somewhere, and where it would go is into the surrounding mantle. That's enough energy to vaporize all the oceans on the Earth, ten times over.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Blow up the carrier...

I think it is important to be realists about this... Blowing up your planet is more a threat than a promise. Doom or Grim mobilizing that many ships(Crashing a ship into a planet is easier to do, but since your world is Aquatic most of the energy would dissipate in waves.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Imagine the carrier is 1,000 tons of metal coming towards you. Blow up the carrier.

1,000 tons of molten metal coming towards you. Hmmmmm

Since there is molten metal coming towards you, you haven't stopped it.

Archi, Dusty spent 80 years researching a bomb designed for major planetary damage. It would use that.

So here's the plan:

Troops are cutting into namibia, into kaminoan land, and down into brittainian land. Troops in reserve have been called from the center of our african colonies to defend the borders. Troops are attacking paris, and troops are being boated into the place in britains defenses with the most damage. Plus some other stuff. The 300,000 troops stranded in Northern Africa are ordered to take defensive positions. Sri Lankan troops are ordered to do the same, and artillery is firing upon naval bases in mainland india. We are also attacking sweden. Specifics are sent to archimage, including exact land movements and numbers. An additional 1 million troops are being shipped into South Africa, with heavy submarine escorts.

Could you explain the ... mechanics of such a bomb?

The way it works, if I remember right is basically it displaces a ton of land. Ask dusty, but what it would mean for you is that all the underwater currents would change, completely altering the climate, and there would be massive (miles high, probably) tsunamis.

hypersonic bombers are being used to attack troops in Sri Lanka and submarines are sent to look for enemy ships as are unmanned fighters the deployment of mines continues.

The dozen or so hypersonic interceptors are scrambled. They can't be shot down by other planes, they go faster than the next fastest plane by a good amount.

Doom our hypersonic planes go at the same speed if I remember correctly furthermore mine can be stealthed at >supersonic speeds so you dont know when they will hit until they drop their bombs and go into super cruise to get out before your fighters are scrambled.

No, these were designed much later than anyone elses. They are designed for the sole purpose of going way faster. Stealth won't help, as soon as one opens it's bombay doors my planes will be in the air, and chasing after you.

All planes can be shot down...You can only affect the modifier.

These can't be shot down by other current planes, by their nature. And ground defenses are really difficult. I'll draw picture. Let's say you know the plane is coming 5 minutes in advance. Let's say you have a railgun that shoots at 3000 m/s or so (a pretty powerful railgun). At a height of 7000 m off the ground, or so, it would take the bullet roughly 2.3 seconds to get to the plane. During that 2.3 seconds, the plane will have traveled over 11km if it's going at full speed. So the railgun has to aim ahead 11km. And that assumes the plane stay at a 100% steady speed, and goes 100% straight. Which it wouldn't be. So good luck shooting one down.
