The Ares cannon I sent to Sol a few years ago during the war is still there, I think I can stop the moon by firing it (maybe) at the request of my allies.

That would probably do it, but you would need 40 shots...(40 total, not 40 per)

Whatever, forty medium sized vessels from earth have been stripped of crew, and are now programmed to hit the asteroids in such a way that it would alter their angle. The ships will be traveling at just subluminal speeds.

I sent another one, and I never gave the command to pull out after the war ended, so I think it's still there.

 

Does anybody have some kind of huge freeze ray which can cool the Ares cannon fast enough that it can fire 40 shots without blowing up? One that's within the Sol system?

Also Earth(strangely) passes though its whole orbit every year, so at least at one point during the year it is aligned(without the sun) with Jupiter. Sorry Dusty.

In other news, Archi has been found guilty on 8.2 billion counts of attempted murder, property damage in excess of 6 trillion dollars (Bulgarian ships destroyed), and conspiracy to commit mass murder, in international court. He has been sentenced to 326,982,000,000 years in prison.

Archi, they aren't traveling past the speed of light. They are perfectly legal.

I for one will just ignore them, like we've done with everyone that's tried to destroy the Earth.

Ross, just quick fit the energy Ares' condensators with Naquadah cylinders, it won't last for years but it would definatly build up power fast enough, without producing heat, to destroy the moons in good time. You never actually used the shipment I sent you.

No point. Every logical course of action you take will invoke an illogical counter from Arch, and he'll state the moons are still on the way. I imagine your plan would go something like this:

Ross: "I fire 40 bursts of the Ares cannons at the 40 moons."

Arch: "Alright, so you roll 1-50 nothing happens, 50-70 they miss, 70-80 they hit the moon, and 80-100 the Ares cannon blows itself up."

Ross: "wat"

Arch" "You rolled an 86. The moons continue on."

Cooling systems tend to be pumps, so pumping hot water round and round a system won't help too much...
