We'll say it's not toxic, but it's somewhat delicate.

Can anyone think of some other uses for it, other than alchemy and faster warps?

Edit: you have a point retech. The fleet heading to trad is canceled. My other fleet heading to the planet that produces 400kg is:

2470 Fighters

22 Battleships

10 Heavy Battleships

3 Super Heavy Battleships

3 Ultra Heavy Battleships

30 Escorts

50 Transports

It could be very beautiful, like gold. Maybe a symbol of excessive wealth?

Alright, here's another thing it can be used for, as a bomb. 5,000 kg of it (25 days worth with a 200kg planet) can be converted into a bomb weighing 50 kg, with a 1 gigaton of tnt yield.

I think it should be ruby-red and more like a crude gemstone, to be honest.

Anyway, perhaps the Philosopher's Stone could basically turn people into immortals? I don't know.

Oh, more than one person can mine a planet. They just need to share the resources a bit. So it could be split 100kg/100kg, or some other deal could be made.

Alright, here is the exact fleet being sent to colonise Set:

2100 fighters

2 transportation units (200,000 people)

9 Super battle ships

Immortals = godmod

I know this thread isn't exactly realism, but immortal people is seriously too far-fetched.

But Dusty, I'm your bestest friend. :)

Why don't you take the system next to my zone of control?

Hmmm, just had a thought. Why don't we make a Caecium bomb. With a LOT of Caecium. :P

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

Dusty, I know I don't have any power compared to you, but I ask respectfully for Tetra. It is an aquatic planet, and I'd be happy to send you some of the elements that I will be mining. Does that sound fair?

If I am forced out of Tetra, then I'll be forced to go to Sephar, which has the planet Set. I do not wish to take it from Mrkirby, so that is why I am asking respectfully for Tetra.

So, here are it's uses so far:

Symbol of Wealth

Laser Focuser (increases efficiency and power?)

Necessary for large scale alchemy.

Speeds up warp. (We'll say it also doubles the speed in warp, so you're going 100ly/y instead of 50.)

Can be turned into a bomb.

Anything else?

Well I am changing course for Set instead, since Sere's zone does include the planet I was going for.
