Wot
So yeah, i went on to a website and it looked a little dodgy (wouldnt let me close- had to use Ctrl+alt+delete) so i immediatly did a virus scan. Now foolishly I logged onto msn 3 times (im an idiot i know, dont remind me!) during this virus scan, because i checked how it was going before i logged in each time and it hadnt yet found any virus's. When the scan was complete I trojan was detected, but its status was quarantined automaticly, well i freaked out, got onto the other computer and changed all my passwords (which i know for a fact has no virus's/trojans). I want to know if there is anything else I can do to protect my acounts, and well wanted to get this out in the open to just genrally get advice. 2,274th person to 99 mining
champion
You'd probably have to give a bit more information, but I'm thinking you'll be fine. What kind of site was this? Did your AV give the trojan name? What AV were you using?
Wot
Twas using McAffee, it did give the name, but as soon as my dad found out he ordered the computer be sent to him. So I dont know, sorry. I was looking on a website that was supposed to give help on some vista problems I had. 2,274th person to 99 mining
champion
McAfee is decent for picking up stuff, but if I were you I would download Avira Antivir and scan one more time. It's free, and offers some very good protection. Chances are the trojan didn't pick up your account names/passwords. All you can really do is change passwords if you're worried about account security.
Sbrideau
If you were using McAfee, you might still have viruses, you should get a good antivirus like Kaspersky, NOD32 or Avira antivir.
aspokaspofkjsopfkapo
Nobody's gonna care about your msn password and if you did manage to change the passwords then you're fine. Nothing to worry about. But....just to be safe, it wouldn't hurt to run Spybot - Search & Destroy, just to be safe.

Spammers care as it adds one more name to their arsenal and in turn increasing the probability that another computer could become infected with a trojan or virus. I would suggest getting one of each type of anti-malware product(i.e. anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall): Anti-virus: Avast! - http://www.avast.com/ Kaspersky - http://www.kaspersky.com/ NOD32 - http://www.eset.com/ Antivir - http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php Anti - spyware: Spybot: Search & Destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html (spybot has always used mirrors and does not actually host the product on their site) Ad-Aware - http://www.lavasoft.com/ Firewalls: Comodo Firewall Pro - http://www.comodo.com/ ZoneAlarm - http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us ... ?lid=en-us Conglomerate of products: http://download.cnet.com/windows/ Quote - Revenge is such a nasty thing that only breeds more vengeful souls, but in some situations revenge does not even need to be sought out, but only bided.
