Also, does it make sense to track Shooting Stars while Mining, or they're not worth it?

i'm not that lvl yet but if you mean best way I think you mean faster way, and I suppose that is powermining granite

I'd say go with power mining iron because granite is slower until around 80.

Power-mine iron if your F2P

I am a Member... How on earth is Iron faster? I always thought Granite was the best?

Plenty of friends have told me that granite until 80+ is slower than what a good iron miner can do. I personally don't know because I've never power mined but I take their word for it as they are 99 mining also.

There is a 3-rock spawn just northeast of the kyatt teleport. With dueling rings and a kyatt banking is very fast.

there is also a 3 iron spot just south of piscatoris, which is close to bank if you are banking.

Are you saying that it DOES in fact give you double Granite ores on occasion? (Level 2, i mean...)

yes, and you get exp from both ores
