I really want to get my construction up so I can have a really cool house for my 99 strength party and I was wondering what is a good way to get it up and what are some cool things I can build once i get to a high enough level.

Oak planks are constantly changing... but the exp is epic =P 3m+/day if you have everything you need

Make sure you make a guilded altar with burners if you go for 70+. Dungeons are very nice also so invest in one of them.

You still have to pay every 8 trips, but 10k for the extra second or two isn't worth it

Buy a lot of oak planks then note them and take them to your house in building mode. Build oak larders until you can make doors to level. Why note them? You can use them on the butler to ask him to take it to the bank and bring back planks, using this means you only have to go through like 2 options instead of like 4 to finally get to bring x amount of planks. Oh and ask him to bring more then you can hold in your inventory because as long as he is holding items he will follow you around until you take them. Using sacred clay hammers 66-75 cost me somewhere around 2-3m.

Why should I use normal butler over demon, I don't know much about construction my level is mostly from tears of guthix and lamps.

You have to pay a demon butler twice as much as a regular butler for slightly faster banking.

The demon butler can bring a lot more items to you then the normal butler in one bank. The normal butler carries 20 and demon carries 26. This is actually a big difference because 10 trips to the bank with the normal butler is 60 less planks then 10 trips with the demon butler. And demon is slightly faster.

While I didn't record any numbers for Larders, Oak Dungeon Doors with SC hammers gave me an average of 383k xp/hr using the normal butler. I used the Demon butler for Larders, and then switched for Doors. Demon charges 10k every few transactions you make him do, and the Butler charges 5k. If I had to estimate I'd say Larders would yield somewhere in the ballpark of 320k xp/hr, but I can't say for certain.

 

 

 

SC hammers are paramount if you don't want to spend a lot of money, but they are essentially optional. Good luck with your goal! :

You don't have to have them noted but it saves a few clicks to get him to get planks from the bank. And ya sacred clay is worth it.

Are SC hammers worth it?

SC hammers are completely worth it. From what I've experience there is little to no time difference when using any SC items. The game is a fun alternative to grinding.

I have no idea how many but I found that finding a clan that does stealing creation with no combat goes a lot faster.
