void or sc?-chins

Sacred clay would be best for cutting costs. You just need to realize that you will need to play Stealing Creation games for the points. Although, you would need to play Pest Control for void just the same. If you play the skilling only SC games you will notice that they are about 12-15 minutes long versus the 20 minute combat games on normal worlds. I prefer the combat games, but I'm not playing for the most pts/hr, as you are.

You could check the RSOF for some listing on skilling Stealing Creation clans. "Sc Claymates" comes to mind. I believe playing SC will be more beneficial than void, but that is merely based on opinion. It would depend if you are willing to throw away extra cash, whether or not you already have void or SC points, and how much experience you are hoping to gain.

Here's an analysis I posted for someone else quite a while back, concerning void and chinning.

[hide=Lots of text+math]It shouldn't take you 15 hours. Around 10 would be a better estimate. It takes about 2 minutes a game, and half a minute of waiting time. Starting from nothing, you need 212.5 games to get full void, or 213 games in actuality. That calcs out to 532.5 minutes, or 8.875 hours. Giving a little to that for longer games/waiting times, and you get 9 hours. Another hour or so for lost games would be appropriate.

All on world 144, instead of a clan, on veteran boat. A clan would boost this quite a bit.

Now, let's say you get 150 damage a game (Which is what I normally get) That's 300 ranged experience per game. Times 213, that's 63,900 ranged xp from the game. Adding in the hour's worth of lost games gets you 71,100 xp earned during the obtaining of the set.

To get 99, you need 6,586,298 xp from your current level. Subtract the 71,100 xp you got from the pc games, and you get 6,515,198 xp to go.

Using information from here, you get about 205 xp per chin with void, which will give you about 10% more xp per chin, so 184.5 or 185 xp per chin without.

That means you have to throw 35,602 chins to 99 range without void.

With void, you have to throw 31,781 chins to 99 range.

You can throw 1,268 chins an hour with the xp rates from the afore-mentioned guide.

That means spend 28 hours of training without void.

And with void, you spend 25 hours training.

So, you save 3 hours of actual training with void. Spending 10 hours to get it. So, timewise, no, it's not worth it.

Let's look at cost. Getting void nets you your combat level(127)*10*213(number of won games for void). That means you get 270,510 gp getting void.

Based on current market price of 410 gp per chin:

You will need 14,596,820 gp to get 99 range without void.

With void, you need 13,030,210 gp to get 99, minus the 270,510 gp you got getting void, so 12,759,700 gp.

Void saves you approximately 1,837,120 gp. That means if you can make more than 612,373 gp per hour (1.8m savings/(10 hours getting-3 hours saved)) you should not get void. Or if you absolutely do not care at all about money getting to 99.

Several things would affect this, like you using the less cost-efficient red chins or having a clan to get void on(which you probably would be able to get easily), but those probably won't change the results here and make getting void at this point more efficient.[/hide]

Basically, that says that void isn't worth getting if you don't already have it, though it's worth using if you do have it.

Now, on the matter of sc armor:

In a skilling clan, it takes 12 minutes per piece of armor. Each piece gives 30k extra xp I believe. Getting the pieces would easily triple your time to get your goal level. So, that's a definite no. It won't even save that much money.

Math seems wrong.

150 damages should give 600 xp

1.8m/7 is not 600K
