I'm currently making a website and I need to know how to write molecular formulas with the little numbers at the top and bottom.

 

 

 

I found a website

that used sub and sup tags to make the numbers go to the top or bottom. I tried looking through the source code but I couldn't find what exactly were the sub and sup scripts. Please help if you can :D

I'm not an expert in HTML markup; on deviantart you use & tags, it may be the same in HTML.

^ I'm pretty sure it is, DA generally uses HTML in the formatting + emotes and icons with :

So just using _{and ^{tags make them larger and smaller?}}

*facepalm* Yep.It's just those tags.
