But once at 61+ crossbows tend to be better. I believe an adamant crossbow is also better, but it's been quite a long time since I used one. Dexek Posted August 16, 2009 Share Posted August 16, 2009 Use a shortbow on F2P and a crossbow once you reach runite on P2P. With the rune x-bow you'll want to get 55 slayer as soon as you can in order to use broad bolts for your training. You'll find they are worth the effort. If you are training up to 61 range on P2P, then use iron knives or steel darts on a monster with low defence.
