Help with some fishing information

Featured Replies

If multiple people are standing on the same spot fishing for the same catch, does each person get fish slower because there are more people?

And I lost all the links. Thanks Gandorf61.

No, you fish the same speed it just means the spots will move around more.

You sure it makes the spot move faster? Would make sense I suppose...

You are not really asking for help or advice, and this would be more of a discussion topic, I'll move it to General Discussion for you.

I'm almost certain the amount of people fishing has no effect on spots moving. I've fished monks from 87 and the spots move just as often with 20+ people as they do with just one fisher. I think it only seems that way since some people say so and a fishing spot usually needs to stay there for a while before many people gather to it.

There's nothing to discuss. The answer to his question is no.

I was pretty curious about this myself...

Get ratty.

It used to move faster with more people before the random event update because there would be a greater chance of triggering a whirlpool or big fish that would force you to move. With those retired, there's absolutely no difference, and even back then you'd still catch fish at the same speed no matter how many people were at the spot.
