August 24, 200916 yr I heard it was either 12k or 16k xp per pickaxe... But you might want to check that. Find out what your experience is, then divide it. You get 13k xp per pickaxe, so find out what your remaining xp /13k is.

I like how you give 2 possible numbers for what they can give you, and then completely disregard that and show the method using a different number. Each pickaxe is approximately 16.6k if used on granite (the best bet). This means for you to get 725,345 xp (xp needed for 80 mining) you will require 43.70 pickaxes, or 44 rounded up. If you use Varrock Armour 3 while mining, you can get additional ores which do not count towards your pickaxe charges. This means each pickaxe will net you over 17.5k xp usually. With Varrock Armour 3 you will need 41.45 pickaxes, or 42 rounded up.

As for the two different xp rates, i got told by one lady mining iron ore it was around 16k and a different guy mining mith is was 12k. #-o
