The Official War

I miss full out wars up at members gate, they were quality and I agree about the waiting in Edgeville after you die to greet either your own winners or the other clan coming in. Also having a chat with the other clan while waiting. I remember BK fought WG a few times in big wars up at the members gate :D

being an elder and emeritus of a clan that no longer exists I have no say in whether we would do it but I know that we prefer wars to pkri's as a clan so i don't see why there would be a problem. Retireds allowed and long prep would be quality, against Gladz would be even better

Do you want to love me?

I would love to, but I don't think the people in Gladz that make the wars would agree.

You weren't around for the history, lordhotshot, but let's just say...there's a lot of it. ;)

who has more r00n plz

So true.

It really saddens me that these days clans are all about the amount of rune sets that you have.

However, I am surprised that I never heard of Official Wars. When did they uhm... phase out?

tbh I think capped pkri > full out

but uncapped is pretty much about who has more sets/less life L

Problem with uncapped is peps can return towards the end and claim the win...Full outs seem to show whose the true winner i geuss but idk I think wars past 4-5 hrs are just showing whose more rune/dedication i suppose but yea i'd prefer Capped PKRI under 5 hours then Full out then uncapped pkri i geuss.

You mean capped peps can return towards the end, uncapped is uncapped, its till the other clan surrenders lol.

Thing I dont like about fullout is with just outpulling the other clan you bassicaly have the victory in the pocket, meanwhile if you get outpulled in a run-in is diferent.

Oops typo good find  . And yeah forgot about that - Always hated seeing clans in TWR war like 40 vs 20 and be like pwned!@#!So yea it's kinda hard to have a fun fair fight i geuss but obviously wouldn't mind a full out here and there if both clan pulls relativly the same amount.

When you waited in Edgeville after you died, and the clans would meet up and spam congratulations to each other afterward... the winning clan would always walk down to Edgeville where the other clan was waiting. It was a really beautiful thing.

Back when clans actually had respect.

Couldn't of said it better myself

That was also many people's first meeting with clans. I remember seeing groups of high levels waiting and chatting friendly in Edgeville, waiting for the last survivors and/or strugglers. When all were respawned, returned and together, there was the spamming of clan name or whatever they felt like that day. I think that was a great way to recruit, it looked very attractive to be a part of. Much less flaming, but that might just be because the reporting system was a lot stricter back then.

You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?

best not to go into it here man, it's the type of thing that comes up on RSC every now and then :D

I think that unless something happened that was regarded as rule breaking there was a kind of mutual respect between the 2 clans taking part in the war, like at the end of a football match when teams swap shirts and such.

When fights were close it would get so tense though, not that I want to keep going back to Gladz but the main time I remember waiting in Edge was after a miniwar against them back in 06, BK ended with 12 people after both clans started with around 50, there wasn't so much friendly chatter but it was tense right up until the last kill and then the winners came down to edge, good times. Both the wars I know about between us were epic =P~

Just makes me think about why I didn't join Gladz back then.
