Need some help with an isometric pixel sig

Featured Replies

Well, I decided I was bored with my signature so I decided to make a new one. I haven't done isometric pixel stuff in years, so it took me a while to get going. I now have a basic concept done, based on the waterfall illusion by MC Escher. What I have so far:

From left to right, it's the basic 'path' of the surface, the linework, the coloured linework, and the 'clean' coloured version. While I personally prefer the 'clean' version, it kind of ruins the illusion on three of the pillars. Should I just keep the black lines in, or is there a way to use the 'clean' version without ruining the illusion?

Maybe add some shadows, i did this too long ago :P

(tried to find picture here D:)

I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Thanks!

It looks fine to me, not sure what you're talking about with the loss of illusion.

The problem is with the innermost pillars. In the line version, you can see that they connect somewhere under the platforms, but without the lines it seems that they're part of the front, if that makes any sense at all.

Well, did some more work on it today:

With and without water falling from the top, added tiles to the bottom of the waterway and made some transparent water. I might actually try to animate that if I'm feeling truly masochistic :D
