Some nice Runescape signatures, a little too contrasted for my liking, though. The splash page is nice, but the scanlines on the speech bubbles could have their opacity lowered a little. Nice work though, it's always good to have more artists here on the gallery!

Mm...Not so much. Still needs quite a bit of practice. Compared to others work here (Nadril, LB), there is quite a gap in skill level.

 

Overall, not bad. Keep posting up your stuff, and try to do more stuff that isn't about RuneScape :)

#1 Over Contrasted mess

#2 Actually, good IMO just a little over contrasted

#3 JPEGed and not a very readable font

#4 JPEGed and scan lines look bad...

Contrast is cool at first but this is just boring. Not much you even did except take runescape pictures and up their contrast to [developmentally delayed]ation levels.

 

Splash page is very blah too. For one, are you just going to have this sit in the center of the screen? (Not to mention I really think splash pages are totally unecessary and just give another step for the viewer to do). The text looks awful, the stroke is much too heavy and the background is just a sort of... redish cloud-filter looking bit. (Even if it isn't a cloud filter it certainly looks like it).

 

 

If you actually have an interest in web design feel free to ask any questions. These pages all look very amaturish (which is to be expected if you're new) and break a lot of general guidelines you want for design. Plus if you're going to show us something with a bunch of text in it pleasepleaseplease for the love of God save it as a PNG. Most of your web work should be .PNG anyways for ease of transparencies.

Yeah I pretty much agree with Nadril. The signatures aren't fantastic, but considering it's RS-related it could be a whole lot worse. About the second web design, the thing that jumps out immediately is the way those speech bubble links contrast with the background. The scanlines and sharp, black shadows just don't work well with it at all, and seem very out of place.

Try to branch out into more traditional sigs. Sticking with runescape is never a good thing in the long run.

For RS art, I actually think those signatures are pretty nice. The splash on the other hand, looks very plain and very amateur to me.

If you made that red and gold banner, then good work on that one.

making realistic banners is what i'm working on at the moment.

I won't say much else, my exp in graphic design is lacking, but I think I did similar things when i started out.

I made a picture of an RS character, and thought that jacking up the contrast, and dropping the lightness looked better, but..

for custom-made graphics it spoils them. Maybe for modifying a screenshot, but for custom-created items, its a no-no.

Most of the stuff there looks nice, when zoomed out, when I zoomed in a bit... err, not that good.. The 1st web page looked real nice when zoomed out/resized.
