I'm Shaken, Not Stirred

I don't think it really matters who they pick. No matter how good of an actor the guy they pick is, James Bond has simply been worn out. The story lines are repetitive and the further the series goes the more cliched the plot twists become. Occasionally one of the more recent ones is good but generally he does the same thing just with newer stuff and with a new chick.

What's happening is you're getting older therefore they seem alot worse than when you were an itty bitty little kiddy.

I for one have noticed this happening to a few things I used to love as a kid, but James Bond is not one. They're all based from books written a LONG time ago... well maybe not that long. But you get my drift. So they can't get worse. Maybe you should source some of the books and read them before making this outrageous statement.

PS: I haven't, so if they're really that cack. Tell me what ones, so I can read them for myself.

There's a better pic maybe, for those of you who don't know him..

Knowing nothing about him, and going just off his picture.. I think it should be interesting at least. Though he does look more like he'd be better suited to being a bond villian as opposed to bond himself.

He looks a lot like Richard Roxburgh in that pic...

And yes I agree with a more 'bond villian' than bond himself. quite possibly in a similar role as that of Christopher Lee (Scaramanga) or Robert Davi (Sanchez).

But to comment on the 'bond-look' pic: I think he'll do well for Casino Royale, but probably not anything more 'futuristic' than Die Another Day. I don't think he'd be able to cut it in one of those (Heck I don't even think the movie would cut it ).

1340588.jpg That's him in the bond look, I like it.

Yea I don't mind that at all... there's something about it...

I think it's that stare. There's the faintest twinkle in enjoyment in what he's doing; pointing a gun at someone's face. Remember, Bond is a trained killer, I think Craig could revel in a sort of darker mould.

^^Yeah, that pic reminds me of the German sniper in "Enemy at the Gates." Craig'll probably do great in the role.

And let me just say, I myself am blond, and I am thoroughly offended by the completely insensitive blond bashers on this forum!

Ever since Sony took production (back in Die Another Day), I have been angered at the Bond series. I love all the older movies before World Is Not Enough. I hated Die Another Day. NO PLOT AT ALL! They could have taken 5 minutes to give it a plot instead of having Bond make love for 15 minutes to Halle Berry.

Maybe if this movie gets good reviews, I will watch it. Not unless.

Im sad to say that the golden age of Bond is long past.
