Jaziek
I honestly dont get who they are aiming this at. Its like the normal PSP, but more expensive, and less functional.

It's more functional, all Sony needs to make is a UMD drive to upload a UMD to the computer :D I dont need a siggy no moar.
Jaziek
It just isnt. The design of the thing instantly puts it below the normal PSP for gaming. Also, since you cant have custom firmware on it yet, its not gonna sell an awful lot. Since thats pretty much the only thing that gives a PSP any longeivety at all. RayOxide
Idk about the PSP3000 or the others than the original but it does have 16gb internal memory. Thats 3-4 games on it without a memory stick..Plus bluetooth.True it isnt as good as the others seem, it has more options. I dont need a siggy no moar. Jaziek
A digital only distribution model just isnt going to work. It was a brave move by sony, but its far far too early, and combined with a system like the PSP. Suicide.

Actually it's been selling well, and it even increased the sales of the PSP3000 because of it's launch. Haha.

Is that true? :o So people will be so stupid to buy a PSP3000 for UMDs and a PSP GO! for other stuff..? Shame.. shame. I dont need a siggy no moar. Jaziek
well theres me told. I cant see why though. It just seems to me like an iphone without the phone or the touchscreen. And I freaking hate iphones.
RayOxide
iPhones suck. This PSP does kinda suck. I think people are just buying it cause it looks flashy and is the new one. I dont need a siggy no moar.

RayOxide
PSP didnt do particularly well in the first place anyway. We'll just have to wait and see if this Go! works out. I can say one thing though- the name is terrible. Come on Sony? I dont need a siggy no moar.
Jaziek
is there any new PSP-PS3 functionality with the Go?
stevepole
@Jaziek I don't believe there is any new features between the PSP and PS3. Supposedly from what I've read you can connect a PS3 controller to the Go through bluetooth. @RayOxide I don't think the name is horrible. It gets the point across on what they are trying to achieve with the Go that it is meant for people on the go and its basically an all in one device meaning all your games and movies, etc are already on the PSP. You don't have to worry about carrying a bunch of games around, which is one thing I always disliked about portable gaming systems having to keep track of all your games you bring with you. Jaziek
whats the point in doing that?! you'd need to like.. prop your psp up somewhere and that defeats the whole point of it being a "handheld"
stevepole
I have no idea why'd someone would want to do it but it is a new option.
Jaziek
I saw an ad for this at the cinema a couple of hours ago, and they were advertising GT for it already. Thats not out for another year or so is it?
stevepole
I'm pretty sure GT came out when the Go did. I'm almost certain I saw it on the PSN for download yesterday.
Jaziek
my mistake then, I just thought there'd be more hype for it on the net. It is gran turismo after all.
stevepole
The lack of hype was probably due to it being for the PSP. I just looked it up on wikipedia and it said it was intended to be released when the PSP first launched back in 2004.. So I'm sure the lack of hype might also be due to the 5 year delay. Looks like a solid racing game for the PSP though. I would definitely pick it up if I had one.

stevepole
I actually wasn't all that surprised to find the PSP has been out for so long but more shocked to think that they haven't come out with a PSP2 yet.
RayOxide
...but more shocked to think that they haven't come out with a PSP2 yet. They're probably playing it safe. The original PSP when it came out had great graphics and costed alot more than the DS, the main opponent, and the PS3 was way overpriced in comparison to the Xbox which wasnt that much worse and just better off overall due to price. So making a PSP2 would need alot of..more expensive stuff lol. And with the PS3 falling behind I dont think the chance is a good idea in their view. I dont need a siggy no moar. stevepole
I got a change to use a PSP Go today and I thought it was pretty sweet. It is so light to hold compared to the original PSP (I never played the upgraded lighter version). It felt like a really solid products. The controls seemed a little crunched up but it was easy to adapt to. The screen above the controls was also a plus. My brother referred to it as a Gameboy that with PSP graphics. Every time I see a PSP Go I really want to go trade in my 360 and get one.
Harakiri
My PSP stayed with me for a year I believe. The couple games that interested me were fun and had great multiplayer, but there were not enough new games coming out to keep me interested in the system, so I cashed mine in for a bunch of PS2 games. I haven;t heard much good about the Go. I guess it's download only? I heard that was a bad point of it.
