Very cool. I was actually going to try something like this when I got home from work.

You should try and center it more and not have it so it looks like you just took a bad crop off your original. I would also try and make both text layers connect so there isn't gaps like between the P. Otherwise looks nice!

Nice work, but try to give it a more 3D look than the layered look you have.

I also agree it's pretty awesome. It hurts my eyes a bit though with the bright colors...

It seems like you took bits from this tutorial here...

It still is cool. Though in my opinion, the wave near the T seems out of place... like it's a completely different style than the type itself.

Everyone has seen that tut.

Great work on the colours, work with lighting and 3D to really bring out the text. Looks great so far, just keep adding to it!

Looks pretty cool. Although I think you should cut off a little bit on the sides.

Typography has been around for a long time. Most of the standard fonts you see on your computer today were made in the late 70's to the early 80's. Helvetica even, was made in 1957.

Yeah I saw the tutorial, but couldn't be bothered to follow it D:

Just used the same font and those swirls. :)

Thanks for the replies!

Was aiming at this:

Typus is latin for type, if you hadn't guessed.

Looks pretty good, I like it. I think it works much better as a signature though, the large piece just has a bit too much uninteresting space around the focal point.

So pretty, looks really nice. The colours compliment each other perfectly.

Yeah, I was aiming to have this used more like a wallpaper.

Thank you! <3 (:
