i need some tips, coments, wateva about how to kill steel dragons.

 

the tip.it guide says i should have

# 90 Attack

# 90 Strength

# 90 Defence

# 90 Hitpoints

 

i have

80 Attack

70 Strength

79 Defence

77 Hitpoints

 

basicly i dont know if i have the levels to kill them.

i dont care about profit, just as long as im not loseing a lot. also, at 50 sumoning wat fim should i use?

Don't use a familiar. Just mage them with chaos gauntlets. Cancel/block if possible.

Yes I agree you might want to consider blocking, steel dragons are annoying because of campers and the iron dragons interfering.

 

You could also try to range them depending on your range level.

if you have 70+ range then range them if not I would block/cancel them.

I'd block them. If you don't have the points, cancel them. If you don't have 30 points, Melee them with protect from melee and piety if you have it.

It's doable, but as the others have said, they can get annoying.

That's your choice. Some people suggest that you set up your block list prior to buying the slayer helm. It is preference really but for this task I would make an exception if I were you and spend the 100 points.

 

The slayer points are nothing compared to the possible frustration and large amount of time saved. Steel dragon tasks, at least for me, popped up very often. In the time you save on not doing steel dragons even if you get 1 task every 10 or so tasks is enough that you could of completed 2 more tasks in its place. (maybe more depending on the tasks)

 

Even with maxed stats the tasks are an arduous one. With 97 mage and 98 range it still takes me ages to kill steels (yes with range pots too). The task is literally a waste of time.

 

As this does not answer your question I will reply with this:

 

If you decide to go through with the task use mage with chaos guants and a bolt spell (fire). You can get away, kind of, with having a lower mage level when attacking metals as opposed to the other offensive combat stats.. Only use range if you are 85+ and even then you will take around 3-6 minutes per dragon, give or take. (could come out to be more; could be less) With your melee stats I would advise against using melee.

I'm 98 slayer and only have done one steel dragon task ever. That was enough.

there are quite easy to do, my stats are about the same as yours, just wear an armour with the higest prayer bonus (proselyte or something like that) anti dragonfire schield, slayer helm/black mask if it is a slayer task. Take with you: anti-dragonfire pots, prayer pots and super pots. with one drink of the anti-dragonfrie pot and your prayer on melee it will only hit zeroes. as weapon use a whip.
