2 Years since I last played.

Featured Replies

Hello guys.

It's been 2 years since I last played RuneScape and I can't believe how much things have changed. It feels like a totally different game with the new graphics engine, trading system etc. To me it actually feels like an MMO now, so good job Jagex.

Has their been any other major updates that I should know about? I don't really feel like trawling the list of update pages just to find the best bits.

What's the best skill or method for making cash now? I used to do a lot of barrowing in the old days and it used to get me a nice bit of cash, but as far as I'm aware it isn't anywhere near as good anymore.

Any information would be appreciated.

Cheers

Barrowing is just as good as it was but Green Dragons are a lot better now.

You might have been here for the God Wars Dungeon, but if not, it's a great way to make money, usually. There are guide's for the 4 different gods here:

You can get the Godsword hilts and pieces there, to make them. Or you can sell the hilts for MAJOR money.

Summoning: Now you can summon creatures to heal you, fight with you, aid you in skilling and even hold up to 30 items for you! It's pretty nice :)

Thanks for the replys guys. God Wars looks interesting, think I'll get into that more when I settle back into RuneScape.

I have 99 Woodcut, mages still selling well?

Well to help, yes, mages sell pretty easily but they arent good moneymakers.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Since I've been away from RuneScape, I've played WoW and got 5 high level characters and completed most content. Got bored. Played Eve online, got bored. Played Warhammer online, got bored. Played Darkfall online. Got bored.

No matter what, a game you play for a long time will get boring, that's the reason I quit RuneScape last time, but because I've been away from it for so long it feels like I'd enjoy it again. ^^

Have you tried...

Aion?

;)

TERRIBLE GAME.

When you get bored of Runescape you should go and try MW2, Operation Flash Point 2, and L4D2. FPS > MMO's.

Skate I think we got the idea across.

MMOs arent the only games in the world, really, some other games are really fun. Especially shooters, like CoD4/5 and the upcoming MW2.

Even GTA4 has a fun online, AND offline.

Anyway to the original post, what are your stats? There are alot of ways to make money without skilling at all, without killing things too.

Green dragons is a nice moneymaker as long as you can range-1-click them for a kill. (Note most melee'rs will get them before you if you dont use range)

And if you didnt know, RS is controlled by Merching Clans who manipulate prices of usually half needed items like potions, foods or skill-staples like oak planks, ranarrs, snape grass, etc.

I have my Xbox 360 for them sort of games :D But I just wanted to get back into the MMO aspect recently. Since my name change, my stats aren't showing up on high score list anymore.

Your stats show up with your display name btw.

Even when I search the hiscores with my old name (Denic13) they still don't show up. Hmm.

Display name = your new name

And you need to log in and log out first.
