Armoured Zombies. Hands down best combo of profit and exp.

You should be looking at roughly 80k exp/hour (more as you increase in level) and 100k gp/hour. As well as a semi-decent amount of charms to get some summoning exp.

That is where I did 99 attack and it was not bad at all.

Be prepared to get a lot of "do slayer" answers, even though you said you're not interested in slayer. People won't let it go.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Armoured Zombies are great xp and give decent drops. Guide: http://forum.tip.it/topic/204045-100k-xp-h-combat-training/page__hl__armoured%20zombie

Zombie Monkeys are also very good xp and easier to fight, but have no drops. Guide: http://forum.tip.it/topic/192586-guide-to-extremely-fast-melee-xp

Statement in red is FALSE. While the worlds are all over populated you cant really get the exp the guide suggests you would. Ankou are a far better option. 2x - 3x as much profit at about 40k exp an hour less. I would suggest these over anything else.

Oh, and i forgot to say. I started Ankou at about 90str and 85 Attack and managed to get upto 70k exp an hour if i put my mind to it. I'm sure with maxed melee i could easily get close to 100k an hour.

I don't know what you are doing wrong but I am getting around 90k exp/hour give or take. And I can easily find a world with 1 other person in it.. which if you didn't notice, has no effect on the exp/hour you gain due to the sheer amount of zombies there as well as respawn times.

And my statement was more a matter of opinion than fact, just like yours about Ankou. It is all preference really. I see a great exp amount with decent cash as a better combo than good cash and low exp.

Just to clarify things a lil more profit is not a factor for me i could personally care less i am strictly after exp.

In the long run a greater ammount of money is going to mean alot more than a few hours saved. Why not just do what everyone else always suggests "Zombie Monkey and then spend the time saved making money". I just see it as a waste of time to make money with maxed melee if you could have made the same ammount of money in the same ammount of time doing something that more profitable but slower exp. I hope you get what im trying to say?

I understand your point but it takes to long to factor in everything if i restrict my focus to one thing then its alot simpler to make a choice. Plus i have other ways of making money, so therefore it isnt really a big deal.

Btw thank you all for the help :)

70k xp/hour at ankous kinda sucks, I nearly get that (62k/h) while training slayer and that gets me charms/range xp too.

If you don't care about money at all, zombie monkeys (there's a guide on the aow on them) would be a pretty good option. They're largely afkable, not crowded and the xp is about as fast as armoured zombies (80-95k/h depending on levels).

Based on these statements:

Armored Zombies: 80k xp, 100k gp hourly

Ankou: 40k xp, 200k-300k gp hourly

Assuming OP can get 500k gp at Green Dragons (not a hard feat - I can get 800k-900k hourly there nowadays), which is also 26k experience hourly.

Say you trained at ankou for 10 hours: you got 400k xp, and 2.5m coins.

4 hours at green dragons: 130k xp, and 2m coins.

4.6 hours at armored zombies: 370k xp, and 462k coins.

Ankous aren't worth killing. You make the same amount of money and coins in less time with a combination of green dragons and armored zombies.

Lets keep the boredom factor in mind. The point is to do soemthing fun for a 99. Its supposed to be a game, not work. Spending 4hours at Green dragons will be very very boring.

Oh and green dragons are alot more exp. I can get 36k exp in 44 Minutes there.

Oh and you worked on 80k exp an hour at his levels? LOL. I doubts he's gonna get that. Looking at 70k max will be a better assumption.

In my mind, killing ankous to 99 is more boring than a combo of green drags and armoured zombies. That argument is not good because everyone has a different opinion on what is fun and what's not. When looking purely at profits/xp, ankous lose to zombies+ green drags. OP can decide which one he has more fun at, but that's not for us to say.

I'm gonna be different, and say Moss Giants. I was getting 70k exp per hour at the OP's stats, and you could boost that up with void/familiar/prayer.

I think it's a lot more fun than other places, too. Armoured zombies are sort of stumbling around and moaning; I feel sorry for them. Moss Giants, on the other hand, are giants of moss and mud trying to kill you! You, the might adventurer, have to dodge their attacks, while in turn whipping their legs from underneath them. They also have the defence of a dead baby, and really high HP, especially for their level. Kill the ones on Pirate's Cove, btw, you'll never get bothered by anyone, except the occasional quester who has lost his way.

It's really not about what gives the best exp per hour, but what gives the best exp per hour and the place where you can stick to it. My friend IRL didn't use super sets so he could camp longer; he is extremely dumb, don't be like him.

The scenery is also more vibrant at pirates cove. I have nightmares about zombies leveling up their strength on me when I train at armoured zombies. It's so dark and dankly; it's cramped too. I feel like I could give a moss giant a big hug, I wouldn't feel comfortable with a zombie. Maybe I'm just old fashioned that way.

I would say Slayer, but since you´ve already dismissed that option I´d go with either AZ´s or Zombie Monkeys, depending on your personal preference.

dirk4slayer.png

Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him.

Yes you don't like slayer, but get 65 for dust devils then camp there.

There a nice amount of exp per hour as well as much better charms then the other recommended options.
