Do I need 1 of each of the gods items to kill aviansies/not take a lot of damage?

 

Right now my setup is:

Zamorak Mitre

Saradomin Stole

Monk's Robe top and bottom

Unholy Book

Rune Crossbow

Snakeskin Boots

Emerald Bolts (e)

Ring of Life

Ava's Accumulator

 

From what I've been reading about other people's setup.... i feel like i have 2 zamorak items and thats unnecessary but yet lacking another gods?

You might want to bring an armadyl item just in case you want to log out while they're agressive. Swap the monk's robe top with some dhide, you really want some more range offense. Other than that, the setup seems okay. :thumbup:

you can take an armadyl pendant for the sara stole , you can get a sara mitre instead of zamorak.

 

this way you have also an armadyl item, just to be safe if you disconnect.

 

Or if you have the money, swap zamorak mitre for armadyl helmet, this way you will get more range att+ and you have more prayer bonus left

 

may I ask you why you are praying when you have 90 def?

At your defence level you can easily tank (because I can do it at my level) It is just the same, but instead of prayer potions, you take monkfish(or other food) in the beginning, you collect the bones, you use bones to peaches tabs. you just have to repeat the last 2 things enough times until you think you have enough bars

 

my outfit when I tank:

 

head: torag helm

body: saradomin dhide

amulet: armadyl pendant

cape: ava accumulator

legs: dharok platelegs

feet: dragon boots

arms: zamorak bracers

weapon: rune crossbow

shield: granite shield

ammo: broad bolts

 

inv: ~30nature runes, ~5000(I know it's much) fire runes(switching to fire staff is too much trouble IMO, because fire runes cost near to nothing), 3 range pots (4), 1 excalibur (for the defence boost), 150 B2P tabs, 1 open spot for adamant bars, rest monkfish.

These setups are all just horribly wrong. You dont need 200+ Ranged def at 90 Def. I mean get real? You should be using void DFS/Obby Shield/BSS, Xbow, Fury, Snakeskin/Ranger Boots and Archer ring. Really this is the best setup you can think of. Although that setup offers about 150 - 160 Def. If you want soemthing a bit more defensive you could try Dhide, Obby Shield, Barrows gloves, Coif, Ranger Boots, Fury, archer ring. Really this will be more than good enough. I got 4k kc with Void + DFS and just used 15 BtP the entire time.

I couldn't agree more about the over use of range defense by people tanking.

From 80 defense onwards I've never used over 160+ range defense and never had any issues. Which is normally just ranging gear with granite shield thrown in.

 

I honestly have never needed more then a few bunyip pouches with baskets of strawberries for emergencies with 160ish range defense, no sgs (I'm a bit weary of having it in my inventory when alching), EE or B2P tabs.

I'm not saing he should use it... I only say what I use when i go there, of course you're right, with 90 def you can focus a bit more on range att

i amy have missed someone else saying this, but if you kill them in the eyree (sp?) you really only need a zammy item. there arent any sara monsters there

There sone other spot where you dont need to use ANY god items. Not even Armadyl.
