I think almost all of us are tired of the trade limit i mean what if its your friends birthday and you wanna give him 1 mill? its not a big deal... of course we should keep the price count so people dont get scammed but come on jagex give us some freedom! :twisted:

I can't remember where but I believe Jagex said they were working on raising the trade limit for people who are on your friends list for a certain amount of time.

 

The trade limit wasn't to stop scamming (although it does help greatly) but rather to stop RWT. Personally I think the limit is fine the way it is right now but I would like to see an increasement of what your allowed to trade with friends. If Jagex were to remove the limit there would be hundreds of bots everywhere again which is why you wont be seeing it relaxed by the amount you suggested.

I don't really care about the trade limit. I just trade my items via the Grand Exchange now.

If it's my friend's birthday. I'd rather give him something than virtual money tbh. That's basically stating to your friend that you're friends with an ubernerd.

 

But if you want to, then bummer for you. Give him a kill in pvp instead, that's probably gonna be worth more.

Why would you think that his friend is an ubernerd?

 

He might probably give him something for his birthday, then plays RS with him and maybe do something else afterward. That's normal.

Jagex took unbalanced trading out of the game in order to combat RWTing. Which in turn helped the RS economy in many many ways which I don't have the time or dedication to go into now.

Too bad for you if you want to give him a Mil, as someone suggested, get him something in real life... Please.

 

I've got a strange suspicion that the poster of this thread is somehow related to RWT... Nah, thats impossible.... Jagex must have not explained why they took Unbalanced trading out of the game enough... Must be.

 

And to Gandorf61, I doubt that Jagex would ever let the trade limit slip because you're on the other persons friend list. Whats to stop RWT too simply add their clients to their friends lists for a month, or whatever, and then just give them toms of money?

Though I want more relaxed trading to come back, it never will, and for good reason. I'm sorry, but that's the honest truth. If no limit trading came back, so would RWT, which is the reason Jagex started modifying a lot of the stuff in the game. I'm sure they wouldn't just redo no limit trading after all their work.

simply, if they hadnt added price limits, its most likly that runescape wouldnt exist anymore, it was only done because it was ruining the game, and without the update I would not even be typing this now, think about it before you post things like this...

Flaming aside, there is a rational and logical reason why Jagex added the trade limit, and there is likewise a rational and logical reason why it will stay there - RWT. There is no way to remove the trade limit without allowing RWT to become as popular as it once was.

 

However, Jagex did state that they will be increasing the trade limit between 2 friends, so while you may not be able to give your friend millions for a gift, you can at least give 100k or more :)

Also, why the hell do all of these people claim that they have to give money to their friends for their birthdays? Can't you give tips ingame? Or give them a real-life present? There are plenty of possibilities. If you're a real friends you don't need to give RS money to them.
