Ok i was wondering what the best slayer gear for me would be i have around 13 mil i can spend and i would prefer to not have to many barrows items because they can start to add up.

ok another question would it be better to swap fury for glory then buy a better shield like blessed spirit shield or somthing like that.

There isn't 1 definite answer, since slayer is SO diverse.

You could buy bandos and wreck tasks like Scarabites, but would that be so useful at Mutated Bloodvelds, where you need to constantly pray melee?

You could buy a whip and have smooth sailing through most tasks, but would that be so useful at Waterfiends, where you need to use crush to be effective?

You could buy a Godsword, and deal high damage (if not less effective than the whip), but would that be so useful at Wyverns, where you need to use an elemental, mind, or dragonfire shield?

You could buy a Dragonfire shield, and get through most tasks easily, but would that be so useful at Kalphites, where you really don't need the defense?

So if money was no issue (but not considering really expensive equipment such as Spirit Shields), the best equipment would be:

-Whip

-Dragonfire, but also with a Rune defender for locations where the defense isn't need or isn't helpful, and a Zamorak Book for ranging

-Fury

-Barrows Gloves

-Slayer Helm, of course

-Zamorak Spear, fastest way to kill metals and Aquanites

-Saradomin Sword, fastest way to kill Gargolyes and Waterfiends

-Bandos armor, with Prossy for tasks where you must pray

-Cannon with cannonballs

-Void or Armadyl, for tasks such as Black Demons where you safespot + cannon

-Saradomin Godsword, but also a Dragon Dagger or Armadyl Godsword for tasks where you don't need the extra healing

-Dragon Boots

-Berserker Ring (i), but also Warrior Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength, and Onyx Ring (i) where you need attack more than strength and you aren't using Slash (ex. waterfiends or mithril dragons), also a Seers' (i) for tasks where you range + cannon. Of course, for practicality you could forget the Warrior and Seers (i) and just use a Berserker and Onyx

-Unicorn for healing, Elemental Titan when you want healing and fighting, and Steel Titan just for fighting

-Karils

-Rune crossbow with Broad/or better, bolts

-Knives, for range + cannon fire giants

-Chinchompas, for Nech tasks. Ice barrage is an alternative, but not a very good one.

-Overload Potions, plus Extreme Antifires and Extreme Prayer

-Praying piety on all tasks

Of course, in your 13m budget, you would need to pick and choose which ones you think are the most effective, what master as you using?

On Barrows, it does add up, but not to much. If you really think about it, you only pay ~15k per hour to use a barrows top and bottom. You can easily afford that.

Slayer isn't really diverse other than wearing proselyte for praying and bringing an antifire shield to dragons.

Always use a Rune Defender - the accuracy bonus is extremely good.

If you are a minimalist, sure it isn't. But if you want to complete each task quickly and efficiently, that simply won't do.

Rune defender is significantly better than a BSS (or even DFS for non dragon tasks) for slayer. So you're really pulling yourself down if you sell a fury to replace a defender. Both these items are the absoloute best you can get for general slayer (Even an enchanted salve doesn't beat the combo of fury when used with a slayer helm).

Anyway, get what Theoknight said but buy Karils for certain tasks (such as bloodvelds/abberant spectres) when you can. Last I checked the prices on Karil have gone up like crazy, so you might want to wait the price spike out and use black d'hides in the mean time. There are multiple fantastic slayer guides on TIF, both in the Archive of Wisdom and in General guides. I'd strongly recommend checking them out, I still read them and I have 90+ slayer

Actually, the best way to do dragon tasks would be to kill them with a Zamorak Spear.

I heavily recommend buying the said Spear. You can use its crush style for speed on Waterfiends and Gargoyle tasks, making it superior to the whip in those cases. In addition, its stab ability beats the whip in all forms of metal dragons (and black dragons if you don't kill the babies) and at Aquanites.

yes but for spear to work dont you have to be able to make super antifires since its a 2h wep.

Well yes and no. Some dragons rarely use their breath, except for metals, and when they hit they max at only 30 if you still use an antifire potion. This was how a lot of people did tasks. Some still prefer to use the shield though, but if you have 85+ Herblore its best to use the potion.

zaaps thats one big list, but some of the things are questionable.

SS and Z spear for crush tasks?

AGS for tasks, theres only black dragons (KBD) which I could see it being any better then DDS.

Karils is questionably better then black dhide, the difference is so minuet its silly for the cost.

Unicorn for slayer looks to me very questionable (5 levels off once I cash in some penguin points and exp lamps). 99% of the tasks its either a bunyip, BoB or combat familiar. The only tasks where unicorn would be better are proberbly cheaper using prayer and a combat familiar anyway.

Literally the only 2 I can think of are gargs and wyrens.

    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc

    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

At Gargs i can keep healed with a bunyip + EE, but thats me. The other tasks that i use a unicorn on are my Waterfiend tasks, Mithril Dragons, Wyverns, and Aquanites when i had them unblocked. All the rest are easily done with 2 bunyips, or if using combat then a fire titan to fight and help heal some. Also you can tank the Black Demons with a unicorn, but i find it faster to cannon them.

Unicorns are mainly good at most bosses and not for slayer tasks. During tasks they are over heals, but if you do bosses (GWD, TDs, etc.) in a team then a unicorn helps out with the healing.
