gold charm droppers

Im looking for a couple hundred gold charms to make granite crabs to help me fish. What is a good monster to kill to get a lot of gold charms fast?

I'd say Fire giants would be my preference.

Yea for your level I think Fire Giants or Moss Giants would be best.

Granite crab pouches are only 220 gp...why not buy them on the Grand Exchange? It's cheaper than making them yourself.

Or train your summoning a couple more levels using crimsons for an ibis, and then buy as many of those pouches that you need (Trust me, the improved foraging is well worth it).

I usually do Moss Giants on Crandor, or Fire Giants in the Smoke Dungeon, if I get them as a Slayer Task.

I really don't like to just buy things like that. I mean if Im gonna need them I might as well train summoning while getting them. I guess I'll try fire giants.

Well if you are fishing monkfish, it would be the most efficient way if you bought them. The time it takes collecting the gold charms outweighs the money you will get while fishing.

I had a task of 153 Hellhounds and walked off with 120-130 Gold Charms

Hellhounds are extremely good Gold Charm dropper.

So what you'd probably want to do is hunt for crimson charms at a monster like waterfiends or dust devils, then use your gold charms to make granite crabs and use the crimsons to train summoning. You'll always get gold charms when you go charm hunting.

 

Think of it this way. Right now, maybe you can't make much with crimson charms. But later on, you won't have anything to make with gold charms, and you'll wish you'd spent all that time collecting crimsons instead. If you kill something lame like hellhounds or fire giants, you'll get the gold charms you need to make the granite crabs and not much else. If you kill something better like dust devils, you'll still get all the gold charms you need, but you'll also get a bunch of crimson charms on top of that.

Dust devils aren't a bad gold dropper in their own right either, they drop about as often as crimsons in my experience.

Good gold droppers are:

- Hill Giants

- Hellhounds
