Umoria Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Well, I'm doing slayer, and I had some good tasks. Spectres 2 times in a row, and now...bloodvelds.The most annoying creature so far. I have 79 att, 78 def and strengthI wear slayer helmet, black d'hide top, Sara chaps, black vambraces, snakeskin boots, accumulator, amulet of ranging, rune defender, whip, ring of wealth. I read this on tip website, your best magic armour, and that's the best I have right now.Still, the annoying things hit me 4, 3, 1, 0, 5 everytime...so what am I doing wrong?I'm not very much into blowing piles of food or use pray pots at this guys... Merre Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I always range these.Many safespots so easy to knife/cbow em...If u do decide to melee em, replace the snakeskin boots by mystic boots (better mage def)...And wth do u wear range amulet when meleeing??? transcript80 Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 You can range them if you get hit too much. There's plenty of safe spots in the slayer tower. If you want to melee them, you might need higher defense, karils might do the trick. Use a super def pot, enchanted excalibur works wonders too as a spec weapon. You can also cannon the mutated bloodvelts near the blood altar for some great xp, though it is costly. Since you pray the whole time, you don't need to worry about getting hit. Max prayer bonus/offensive bonus is this case for best results. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AnthonyWL Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Since their attack is Magic based i use: Slayer HelmetFuryBlack D'Hide BodyBlack D'Hide ChapsBarrow GlovesDragon Boots / Snakeskin BootsSkill Cape / Fire Cape / Obby CapeRune DefenderWhip I take a Defender for extra attack bonus and i always bring a Dragon Halberd because you can safe spot them and the Special comes in handy. Get a bunyip, if you don't, at least train up for it because it is really useful for slayering.Borrow/buy a SGS or get enchanted Excalibur.Always use super attack and strength.Bring like 3 prayer potion and use 10% strength prayer. Cptbaker08 Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I think the problem isn't with your gear, but with you levels. More precisely your magic level. You magic defense is based off you magic level and gear. If you have a low magic level it only seems about right that you get hit often. Having a higher magic level will help with this. Like they said switch up your gear to either melee them with change capes, gloves, and boots. Or range thenm from a safe spot. If you had a bunyip then it wouldn't be much of a problem, but it doesn't seem like you have 68 summoning.
