Barrows Drop-Rates

Featured Replies

I know people say, 'Barrows is all about luck', but im coming up to my 100th chest with still no drop and its kinda bugging me.

I always get 12 KC (for blood/deaths) and all i see is people about me on their like 5-6th run getting items...

Does anyone know the average rate before you get a drop? I mean, im still making a profit from the runes, but 100 chests seems like a long time.

I think the average drop rate is about one item every 15-17 chests. Could be wrong though.

luck seriously is the only thing i can think of...437 trips not a single item...and that's no joke i havent got an item since the first time i got a guthans spear out of my 3rd or 4th chest i believe. Its either all luck or we're doing something wrong lol.

Assuming a 1/18 chance each chest, there a 1.42*10-9% chance of that happening. It would surprise me if you actually counted all those chests and didn't just make up a nice number that seemed to fit in with the seemingly large number of chests you've gone without an item.

i didnt make that number up i promise you that. I only go with my little brother who keeps a log on all of our trips and that's a very close estimate to how many chest's i've actually done without a single item. Plus i've seen people go without an item longer than i have

About 1 in 15 to 20 is what I've found. But remember that random numbers do mean that you can get lucky or unlucky.

Still, if you got over 400 in a row with no item, you might be doing something wrong. For example, not killing all six brothers will lower your chances of an item, I believe.

Hmm, 100 runs is nothing, I myself didn't get my first item after my 100-something run. And then I got another 50-ish dry streak, so I quit barrows again. I probably will go back to it once I feel my luck can change.
